What is Dialectical Behavior Therapy?
DBT is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that was developed by Marsha Linehan for those who struggle with intense emotions and the problematic behaviors that follow. The effectiveness of DBT is well supported by research. In group we will systematically go through the four skill sets: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills. These four modules will provide you with the comprehensive and integrated skills needed to make meaningful changes in your life, all in a supportive and validating group setting.
