My Mission
I’ve often been asked why I am a therapist. My answer at first was a pretty generic one: “to help people”. But as I have honed my craft over the years, my answer has begun to change. Nowadays, the reason that I am a therapist is because of my sincere belief that every person has infinite dignity. Unfortunately, many of us lack relationships with people who treat us as if that is true. In therapy, it is my privilege to walk with individuals through the valleys of their lives, all the while being that someone who treats them in accordance with this reality: that all of us have infinite dignity.
In our walk together, I will help you come into contact with reality. So often, we exaggerate or diminish the past, the present, or the future, in ways that lead to either unnecessary conflict, or suppression of necessary struggle. It is only once we live in accordance with reality—as it truly is—that we can decide how we want to build our lives moving forward, and then do what is effective to get there.
